Being Nostalgic

Today is my fortieth birthday. I've definitely spent some time being contemplative about the serious aspects of life, but I've also been thinking about how much FUN life has been. Challenging and very difficult at times, but oh-so-good all the while.

All through school I shared my birthday with two classmates so -- of course -- when my birthday rolls around it makes me think of those years at Harding Academy. So instead of posting about the deeper issues that have been a part of my thought processes, I'm going to share some of the fun music from the 80's with you. Admittedly, this is not what I listened to most of the time. Even then I was more of a 70's music fan, but these are the songs that were a part of the collective consciousness of growing up in the 80's.

Hard to believe the MTV generation is turning 40. There are LOTS of good memories stored here. Enjoy!

And I can't embed it, but this list would not be complete without Michael Jackson's Thriller. One week we had a substitute teacher for entire week and we watched this video every day. HA!

Happy Birthday! Sorry I didn't read this earlier. I sure hope you celebrated well. Great trip down memory lane with the music!
