Spring Reading Thing

It's coming soon. Hosted by Callapidder Days, Spring Reading Thing will be a time for us to finally get around to reading that book. You know. The one that's been on your list forever. Or the one you started last winter and never finished.

Will you join me? I'm going to read CS Lewis' Planet Trilogy. What about you?

Ooo, the Planet Trilogy. I read that ages and ages ago, and I need to revisit it at some point. Not this spring, because my list is already too long! But sometime soon. Glad you'll be part of the Spring Reading Thing!

Of the books in the Space Trilogy, the first (Out of the Silent Planet) is my favorite, at least partly because of Lewis' creation and explanations of the language of Malacandra. I have to say, I didn't really like the third (That Hideous Strength), probably because it was so dark. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the trilogy. They're much different from Lewis' other novels.

By the way, thanks for stopping by my blog. It's always good to hear from you. :-) Enjoy your spring break(s)! I'm looking forward to my 2 weeks of "Easter break" from German class next month.

By the way, I just finished "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom. Very good. Next I think I'll read "To Kill a Mockingbird" (I somehow have managed to get this far in life without reading it) if I can find the time.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my very favorite books. The first time I read it I was about twelve or thirteen, but have read it multiple times since then. I remember the shock I felt when it didn't have a nice, neat ending. The shock is gone but the truth it speaks to the human condition remains.
